Spotlight: Anatomy of a Weekly Digest
Say you want a weekly digest on a topic. You ask once. From there it's hands-off — and that hands-off part is the interesting engineering.
What actually happens
- You confirm the topic. Nothing recurring starts without your yes.
- A real schedule is created — not a reminder, an actual job on a cadence.
- Each week it fires on its own, runs the digest as a governed mission, and seals a receipt for that run.
No one has to poke it. We proved this end to end before it went live: enabled it, walked away, and watched the schedule fire itself and seal its receipt with nobody asking.
That's the standard for anything we call "live" — it has to actually run, and leave proof that it did. A digest is a small example of a big rule.
